For example, if you jump out of a plane gravity will pull you towards the Earth; this is Newton’s law of universal gravitation. Three women were born 24 years ago, one German, one Black, and one Chinese. Even though they were born on different continents and are of different races, they all share the same exact DNA. Johanna, Tia, and Amy are technically identical twins with a 100% DNA match according to our best scientific tests. These three women represent the beginning of the end for planet Earth. “Mormon Zombies from Outer Space” Casting Talents (LA)

We’re shooting an Ultra-Low Budget movie in December and we are currently casting.

The movie is a 30 min. short comedy/horror. Its called Mormon Zombies from Outer Space!
The whole story is within the title. A meteor crashes on earth, a group of Mormons come across it and turns them into Zombies…. There ya go…. Now I assure you its no Gangs of New York, so if you’re looking for the next big break, probably not the project for you. With that said, there will be no nudity, “What, no nudity??”

We are currently casting ALL parts.

Here’s the skinny; Ok, so if you don’t have a sense of humor…well, then this isn’t the project for you. The project is/has been described as if Mel Brooks did a Zombie flick. Now the majority of the characters are Mormons. Yes, the ones that go door to door and seem to find the most inappropriate time to bug you. Please no prima donnas, only respond if you wanna have fun. So if you have problems poking a little fun at Mormons, then look somewhere else please and don’t bother contacting me. I’m a comedian, I don’t care who I make fun of because I make fun of everyone. Also, we don’t want to go through agents and agencies, online agencies. I just want to eliminate the middle man. I know this is straight forward, I don’t want to beat around the bush.

Auditions will be held sometime during the middle of this month (November) and filming will begin next month (December).

So here are the characters and a brief description of their personality.

MAIN CHARACTERS:

ED – 20’s – He’s been in the missionary game for a while and knows the tricks of the trade… or so he thinks he does. He’s that guy who is totally cocky about what he does that he thinks he is doing a great job at it. However it’s that he knows absolutely nothing in the long run.

STEVE – 20’s – He’s new to being a missionary, he’s young, bright eyed and bushy-tailed. He wants to be the best Mormon there is. He tries to hard but still doesn’t seem to get it. He’s the goody-goody, he doesn’t swear, doesn’t do anything that’s bad. He’s a very to the book Mormon.
(For Ed and Steve, it’d be great if we can get guys who look like average Joes.)

JOHNNY – 20’s – A bully, the typical high school bully. Even though he’s Mormon he and his lackeys do everything that’s against Mormon beliefs. They drink soda, coffee, smoke and curse. Although Ed and Steve are clean cut Johnny and his lackeys are not. They don’t dress to code. Johnny’s a rebel, his collar is unbuttoned, his tie is loose, even his bike is tough. He can be bigger/taller then the rest, nonetheless he’s a badass. Piercings are ok…for now. So far any ethnicity is ok.

JOHNNY’S GOONS (Supporting Roles):

BILL – 20’s – One of Johnny’s goons or lackeys so to speak. Every bully has his entourage of asshole followers and Bill is one of them. He’s not the brightest. He’s also not a total idiot either. He’s just a goon plain and simple. Facial hair and piercings are ok (Certain piercings maybe rethought). Any size and stature is ok…so long as you can ride a bike without huffing and puffing. Look tough,Any ethnicity is ok.

MARK – 20’s – Another of Johnny’s goons. Same as above, facial hair is ok as well as piercings (For now); any build so long as you can be athletic. You must look badass. Any ethnicity is ok.

JEFF – 20’s – Possibly the smartest out of the four. Again facial hair is ok as well as piercings (For now). Jeff is if anything smaller then Johnny, Bill and Mark but he is still physically fit.

The Rest of the Cast:

5 MORMONS – 18-28 – Clean cut. No facial hair, neatly combed hair, no piercings.

2 JOGGERS – Any ages – Physically fit. Male and woman or woman and woman. Any ethnicity. Look like joggers have jogging gear.

4-5 HOME OWNERS – Any ages – People to answer the door minimum of one to two lines each.

The movie takes place in a Cul-De-Sac in the suburbs. ALL MORMON PARTS NEED TO KNOW HOW TO RIDE A BIKE! I cannot stress that enough!

At the end of the shoot and if there is a possible midnight screening at the theater and the screening goes well….we will submit it into Cannes or Sundance Film Festival with a possible IMDB credit.

Please send a headshot or recent picture and your résumé to the e-mail address above or to Hecill359@aol.com or TheRev359@yahoo.com

At least 18 or over.
Know how to ride a bike (If you‘re auditioning for a Mormon Role).
Have a sense of humor.
And prepare to have fun.

No Pay. But you will receive Meals and a copy for your demo.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Reality Show seeking Female Talents (Shanghai)

My name is Jesse, I’m a 23 year old English teacher, living in Shanghai. Last May, when I was looking for jobs on Asia expat, I saw an ad for television producers for a new Chinese television network called Blue Ocean Network. I pitched an ‘untitled’ show and the network loved it! The exact words pitched to BON:

“The show revolves around the lives of four female expats living in Shanghai. These women would explore the city, share their personal lives, openly video blog their experiences and discuss issues that affect expats and Chinese alike. No professionals, no actors, just real ladies, living and loving China.”

The shows format is a mixed media, it would include documentary like sequences, talk show formats, and video blogs, with the possibility for news-like segments of what’s going on around the city. Well to get to the good part, they are very interested and are willing to fund a pilot episode, and possibly more if the pilot is approved by the big wigs and test audiences. The deadline in December 12th, which means I have to get the ball rolling. I need to find 3-4 foreign (not necessarily western) ladies living and working in this beautiful city of Shanghai, by the 15th! Anyone with any sort of television background get extra points! The show is still developing, so I really want a lady with ideas. DIVERSE BACKGROUND A PLUS!!!

Seeking Talent for Fairy Style short Film (NY)

Currently casting a stylized 16mm short to be filmed in a studio and Central Park. The story is equally inspired by the unique folk stories to come out of Iceland and Jean Cocteau’s work in the fairy tale style.

Please see http://www.octavia.net/vikings/huldufolk.htm and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkOmMVpz1tM (0:15 and 5:30) for references.

The story features a girl who rescues a boy from the cold. They fall in love, but she is hiding the fact that she is an elf.

  • Elf Girl: 20s-30s, very very blonde (or willing to become so), Large expressive eyes, mysterious but friendly
  • Boy: 20s-30s, expressive eyes and gestures (think old silent movie), sad but determined.

This will be shooting in studio within the next couple of months and outside in Central Park based on snowfall.

Must be able to be flexible for a last minute call determined by weather. We will be shooting in the snow, but you’ll be dressed warmly.

This is an ultra-low budget production, but I respect your time and talent. As such I can offer only small (but negotiable) sums. We can work something out.
